Creative Solutions for a Plant Lover

Not every home project fits inside a standard box — and this one definitely didn’t.

A recent client came to me with a unique request: she wanted a way to hang her plants in her plant room, but needed the flexibility to move them around as the as their needs dictated. The challenge? Create a system that was strong enough to support hanging plants, but visually light enough to fit the space — and allow rearranging whenever inspiration struck.

So, I custom-built a ceiling-mounted hanging grid using stained 2x4s and cattle panels. The result? A strong, practical, and beautiful solution that gave her exactly what she needed — a modular hanging system that turns her ceiling into a creative display space for her plants.

This was one of those projects that proves how the right materials, a little vision, and some out-of-the-box thinking can turn a tricky problem into a standout feature.
